Developed in the summer of 2018, as an honors project, this robotic hand was programmed to perform basic ASL (American Sign Language). This project was programmed with a Python script running on a Raspberry Pi. The code executed on the Raspberry Pi to sent serial data via I2C to a 16 channel Adafruit servo driver, controlling the 6 servos that are linked to the robotic hands' tendons. The physical robotic hand was 3D printed and based off the open-source designs by InMoov.
